Galentine’s! The better than Valentine’s Day tradition that all the girls are raving about! The guys like it because it keeps their girl distracted from Valentine’s and the gals like it…well… for obvious reasons.
Last week my gal, Neelab and I had the opportunity to host an event at Taco Dumbo! Neelab and I have been friends since we hit it off at NYFW in 2017 and have always wanted to host an event together! When we met with Taco Dumbo about hosting an event, they asked us for an idea and the first thing that came to our minds was GALENTINE’S! I had planned several Galentine’s events with my sister back in Denver and to do one in the city is a dream come true! We planned this event in under a week due to how helpful our friends at Taco Dumbo were!
I have to say, I have been incredibly blessed to have some amazing girlfriends in Denver and I am grateful for the women I have met since moving to NYC. From my roommates to blogger friends, to other women in different industries, I have learned, and continue to learn so much from them! That being said, I will use any excuse to hang out with my girlfriends!
Community is one of the most important things you can have in life. As the people you go through life with matters. Bringing people together and watching them interact and have a good time while friendships blossom is something I could do for the rest of my life!
Every location of Taco Dumbo is set up as though you’ve walked into a tropical oasis. We hosted our Galentine’s event at the Taco Dumbo midtown location and were in awe of the giant murals of palm trees and the warm pink and green decor! The vibe was perfect to take us away from the cold snowy/rainy night and the women really enjoyed taking photos by the pink dial phone and basket chairs.
The women enjoyed margaritas, tacos, and good conversation! Let me tell you! Taco Dumbo has a very flexible menu offering meat, GF, AND vegan options, which is another great reason to have a gathering there, because no one is left out! If you’re ever at Taco Dumbo you need to try the Impossible Taco. It is a taco with plant based beef, black bean mash and a crunchy blue shell. So so yummy!
To my Galentine’s! I am so thankful for each and every one of you! Know that I am thinking about you and grateful beyond words for the friendship that we have!
